Research and projects in progress — some near completion, some still in early framing.
I'm a high school senior in Raleigh, NC, heading to NC State University in Fall 2026 to study Agricultural Business Management — the business layer underneath food systems, land use, and the rural economy.
My work sits at the intersection of GIS, agriculture, and civic technology. I use maps not as decoration but as analytical tools — to make policy problems visible, give communities a voice in their own planning, and bring spatial reasoning into K-12 classrooms that have never had it.
I've published StoryMaps in marine science, urban history, political simulation, education, and food systems. Some have ended up in front of educators at national conferences; others live in a middle-school classroom in Wake County. All of them asked the same question: what does this look like on a map?
Outside the classroom I lead the National 4-H Geospatial Leadership Team and run The Map Company, a small GIS consulting practice focused on civic and agricultural clients.
Five things I'm reading or thinking about — updated monthly in data.json.
Open to market intelligence projects, environmental data tools, outreach visualization, K-12 GIS education, and interesting problems I haven't thought of yet.
